£11,000 DONATION TOPS YEAR OF FUNDRAISING BY NORFOLK PROPERTY FIRM
East Anglia’s Air Ambulance service is celebrating a £11,000 windfall, after staff at a Norfolk property firm spent a year raising cash through a variety of fundraising activities.
Staff at Arnolds Keys chose the Air Ambulance as their designated charity for 2018, and raised a total of £11,389.10 for the organisation. Staff undertook a wide variety of fundraising activities during the year, including a charity golf day, a summer-long sports challenge between city professional firms, a ‘tough mudder’ style running challenge and cake sales.
Sophie Emanuel, Norfolk fundraising officer for EAAA, said, “We are so grateful to Arnolds Keys for choosing to support us in 2018. Our missions costs an average £3,500 and we receive no Government funding. Without companies like Arnolds Keys, we wouldn’t be able to keep our helicopters in the sky.”
Phil Cooper, chair of Arnolds Keys charity committee for 2018, commented, “We have managed to raise such a great sum for the Air Ambulance because so many colleagues have got involved in the fundraising effort. It just goes to show that even when you are working hard, there is always time to do something to help others.”
East Anglian Air Ambulance provides a helicopter emergency medical service to the people of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. The organisations aims to provide the best possible outcomes for people unfortunate enough to be involved in life changing incidents or medical emergencies.
Arnolds Keys staff choose a charity to support each year. For 2019, the chosen charity is Nelson’s Journey.
