2021 TRAINEE INTAKE WELCOMED AT LOVEWELL BLAKE

Fourteen trainees have been welcomed at the Norwich office of chartered accountants and financial planners Lovewell Blake, part of a cohort of 23 trainees who have joined the firm across its seven offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Senior partner Mark Proctor welcomed the new starters as they embarked on their careers.  The firm recruits a new cohort of school leavers, college leavers and graduates on an annual basis, with all embarking on professional qualifications from day one. 

Lovewell Blake’s training programmes were recognised earlier this year when the firm was once again named in the national Top 100 Employers for School and College Leavers in the School Leaver Awards – being named in the Top Five employers nationally in the Accounting and Professional Services sector.

As the 2021 intake join the firm, the application process is getting underway for the 2022 positions.

Those joining from school and college start the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or Business Administration qualifications, whilst graduate trainees study for either the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualifications – onto which AAT qualified staff can also progress.

The new entrants are working in the firm’s offices in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Halesworth, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds and Ely. 

“It is always exciting to welcome a fresh group of enthusiastic young people to the firm, and especially so as this year’s has endured significant disruption to their education during the pandemic,” said Mr Proctor.

“As a firm we are very committed to training the next generation of young professionals.  We work very closely with schools and colleges in the region to encourage young people to enter the profession, and to ensure that we attract the pick of the crop each year.
