ADDITIONAL HR MASTERCLASS ON DISCIPLINARY MATTERS OFFERED TO MEET HUGE DEMAND
A masterclass on how to handle disciplinary matters with employees has proven so popular that organisers have now added a second date, to enable those who didn’t secure a place to attend.
Lovewell Blake’s HR masterclass, entitled ‘The Dos and Don’ts of Disciplinary’, will be presented by the firm’s HR consultants Gemma Chapman and Vicki Webber – the first in a series of HR masterclasses aimed at helping businesses deal with employment and recruitment issues.
The first masterclass will give employers a practical guide on how to deal with misconduct and poor performance in the workplace, as well as giving guidelines on how to deal with issues in line with best practice, and in a way which causes the least impact to the business.
So popular has the masterclass proven with employers, that Lovewell Blake has now arranged to repeat it on Thursday 10th March – with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
“For many small businesses in particular, disciplinary matters are often the most daunting prospect of employing people,” said Vicki Webber. “Every situation, every employer and every employee is different, but there are some basic guidelines which can ensure employers are doing it the right way, and avoiding unnecessary conflict in the future.
“Handled correctly, disciplinary situations can often be turned round to everyone’s benefit; handled badly, they can lead to further problems in the workforce.”
The additional HR masterclass takes place on Thursday 10th March from 7.45am – 9.15am, at Lovewell Blake’s offices on Broadland Business Park. The free event includes a buffet breakfast.
