‘COLLABORATIVE PURCHASE’ ENABLES TWO LOCAL BUSINESSES TO INVEST IN EXPANSION AT BEACON PARK
Two Great Yarmouth-based companies have got together in a new office investment at Beacon Park, which could see as many as 60 jobs created as each firm expands.
Security firm CTR Services Ltd and office supplies business Pink Office have jointly bought a 1.5 acre site on the enterprise park, in a £280,000 deal brokered by property services firm Arnolds Keys. Each partner will build a 4,000 sq ft office building on the site.
Both businesses are currently located in the nearby Beacon Innovation Centre, and both have found their ability to expand constrained by lack of space.
“This is a great example of two firms getting together in a collaborative purchase to enable an investment which would have been much more difficult for either to achieve on their own,” said Guy Gowing, managing partner at Arnolds Keys.
“By pooling resources to purchase the land, each will be able to create a new office building which will enable them to expand and create new employment for the area, which can only be good news.”
Tremaine Kent, managing director of CTR Services, who founded the company in 1996 and has run it from Great Yarmouth since the following year, said, “Our business is expanding, and the ability to build a new physical security operations centre in a bigger building will allow us to take on more people to cope with that expansion.
“We currently have 14 people working in the Innovation Centre; our new building will allow us to increase that to up to 36 people as we grow the business.”
