COMMUNITY OF NEW HOMES IN HINGHAM BLESSED BY BISHOP OF NORWICH
A community of new homes in Hingham has been blessed by the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham James.
Bishop Graham visited The Hops new development on Norwich Road in the town, where Norfolk-based family firm Abel Homes is building 88 highly energy-efficient family homes.
The Bishop blessed the new community at a short ceremony attended by the vicar of Hingham, Rev Colin Reed, and a number of parishioners, all of whom walked to the site from St Andrew’s Church in the town. Several members of Abel Homes staff also took part.
The site was launched in April last year, and nearly half of the new homes are finished with many families already living on the site. The new homes are designed to be extremely energy-efficient, with solar PV panels, triple glazing and high levels of insulation, giving them the highest possible ‘A’ rating for energy efficiency.
The Hops is the fourth location at which Abel Homes has built new homes in Hingham.
