ESTATE AGENTS TO BATTLE IT OUT ON COOKERY THEATRE STAGE AT AYLSHAM SHOW
Two Norfolk estate agents will be battling it out for culinary bragging rights on the cookery theatre stage at the Aylsham Show on bank holiday Monday.
David MacDuff, manager of Arnolds Keys’ County Hub in Aylsham will be taking on James Martell, residential sales negotiator at the firm’s City Hub in Norwich, in a ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ style cook-off challenge in front of thousands of visitors to the Show, which takes place at Blickling Park on Monday 29th August.
Arnolds Keys is a long-time supporter of the Show, and is once again sponsoring the Cookery Theatre, which will feature some of the region’s top chefs alongside the amateur duo.
David MacDuff said, “I am definitely not the cook in my house, and my partner Victoria is amused at the idea of me cooking in front of all those people. My go-to dish is usually made in a slow cooker – the exact opposite of what will be required at the Show. I have to say it’s all a bit nerve-wracking.”
Meanwhile James Martell commented, “I have never done anything like this, so I’m nervous, but I feel confident I can give it a good go. My go-to dish is a roast dinner, but there won’t be time for that at the Show! I’m hoping to create a sweet dish, they are always popular.”
The cook-off takes place at 11am on stage in the Cookery Theatre. The Show itself takes place form 8am-6pm. Full details are available at www.theaylshamshow.co.uk.
