EYE CLINIC STAFF MAKE ANOTHER FOUR FIGURE DONATION TO NORFOLK’S SIGHT LOSS CHARITY
People living with sight loss in Norfolk will continue to receive support to live independent lives thanks to the latest £1000 donation from the Norwich Newmedica Eye Clinic.
The team at the Broadland Business Park-based clinic, along with some of their patients, have taken part in a number of fundraising activities including an Easter egg tombola, a sponsored bike ride and bake sales.
Vision Norfolk fundraising officer Erin Snell visited Newmedica to receive a cheque for £1001.53, bringing the total raised by the clinic for the charity to just under £3,000 since it opened in November 2021.
Ms Snell said, “Vision Norfolk relies totally on the generosity and support of local people to be able to deliver our programmes of support for those living with sight loss in the county, so we are very grateful indeed to the team at Newmedica for their continued support.
“The money raised will go directly to helping vision impaired people in Norfolk live independent lives.”
Presenting the donation to Vision Norfolk, Karen Hansed, operations director at Newmedica Norwich, said, “Vision Norfolk provides such a vital service for those living with sight loss in the county, and it was an easy decision for us to adopt the charity for our ongoing fundraising activity.
“We are delighted to be able to hand over another £1,000, and that we have almost reached £3,000 since we started fundraising. All of the staff here support the charity, and we look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts to help vision impaired people in Norfolk.”
