FREE BUSINESS START-UP CLINIC TO BE HELD IN ELY
Potential entrepreneurs and those who have recently started their own business are being invited to a free business start-up clinic in Ely – where they can get advice from some of the region’s leading experts on all aspects of starting a new business.
A team of start-up specialists will be on hand at chartered accountants, business advisers and financial planners Lovewell Blake’s Ely office on Thursday 9th February to offer advice on a whole range of subjects, including choosing the appropriate structure for the new business, record-keeping and preparing realistic projections.
Guidance will also be available on income and corporation tax, VAT, payroll taxes such as national insurance and PAYE, as well as the new auto-enrolment pension legislation for employers.
New businesses and potential start-ups can book one-to-one sessions for free at the clinic, when Lovewell Blake will be bringing in a team of experts to offer the advice.
“Small and medium-sized businesses are such an important part of the economy in East Anglia, with more people deciding every year to set up their own business,” said James Rix of Lovewell Blake’s Ely office.
“Starting a business can be a daunting prospect, with a whole range of questions to consider – not just how to go about selling the new business’ goods and services, but also myriad rules relating to financial affairs which can catch out the unwary.
“That is why we have created this free clinic, to help entrepreneurs overcome that ‘fear factor’ about seeking professional advice.
