GENEROUS NORFOLK PEOPLE DIG DEEP AND RAISE £1,324 FOR COUNTY’S SIGHT LOSS CHARITY

30th Jun 2021
Countywide collection day

Generous Norfolk people have boosted the coffers of the county’s sight loss charity after a county-wide street collection day raised over £1,300 for the charity.

Staff and volunteers from Vision Norfolk visited towns right across the county as well as Norwich to promote the work that the charity does to support visually-impaired people to live independent lives.

The day saw £1,324.59 donated into the collecting tins and via mobile contactless machines.

“All charities are finding the fundraising environment really tough at the moment. so we were particularly moved by people’s generosity in these uncertain times,” said Vision Norfolk’s individual giving fundraiser Rob Collins.

“It was our first street collection since the last lockdown began.  At a time when many people are still feeling the financial impact of the pandemic, it is heartening that so many are willing to dig deep to support a local charity supporting the people of Norfolk.”
