HISTORIC NORWICH COFFEE HOUSE AND RESTAURANT CREATES SPECIAL CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA
A historic Norwich coffee house and restaurant has created a special Christmas-themed afternoon tea which it is serving throughout December.
The Britons Arms, in Elm Hill in the city, is offering the sumptuous afternoon treat, which includes a variety of festive treats.
Chef-proprietor Richard Ellis has created the three-tiered feats, which includes a range of savoury and sweet elements.
“The Britons Arms has been a favourite place for afternoon tea for many years, so we decided to go one step further and create the ultimate Christmas afternoon tea, with numerous homemade festive dishes,” said Mr Ellis.
The Christmas afternoon tea features:
- Sandwiches: turkey & stuffing; brie & cranberry; honey-glazed ham & wholegrain mustard; salmon & cream cheese
- Pigs in blanket sausage roll
- Cranberry & candied peel scone
- Christmas cake
- Christmas pudding
- Mince pie
- Blackcurrant, tangerine & vanilla trifle
- Spiced chocolate truffle
The special Christmas afternoon tea costs £18 per person, including a pot of tea or coffee. A glass of mulled wine or local sparkling wine can be added for £6.
