KEYS AUCTIONEERS AND VALUERS APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF PICTURES
Keys Auctioneers and valuers has appointed Marc Knighton as Head of Pictures.
A respected academic art history expert, Mr Knighton joins the Aylsham, Norfolk based auction house after spending three years as a picture specialist at an auction house in Cornwall.
Having studied Art History at York University, Mr Knighton then completed a Masters degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation at University College, London. He then spent four years completing two further Masters degrees at Cambridge University, during which time he was also responsible for cataloguing the extensive architectural drawings collection at Queens College, Cambridge.
Welcoming him to Keys, managing director Tim Blyth said, “We are delighted to have appointed someone with so much knowledge and experience to this important position. Marc brings an academic and research-based approach to the role, as well as hands-on commercial experience in the fine art department of a leading regional auction house.”
