LATEST FARMERS’ EVENING TO HEAR FROM THREE LEADING AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY EXPERTS
Three of the region’s most prominent agricultural property experts will share their expertise at a Farmers’ Evening in Halesworth later this month. The trio, from leading East Anglian property consultants Brown & Co, will tackle three very topical issues facing farmers in the region, at the event, which takes place on Wednesday 13th April in Halesworth.
Andrew Fundell, Norwich-based partner at the firm, will talk about how these ‘challenging times’ can create opportunities for farming businesses. Mr Fundell has over 20 years of experience in providing consultancy advice to agricultural businesses throughout East Anglia. His key areas of expertise include business reviews, including forward financial projections; the setting up and monitoring of Contract Farming Agreements and other joint venture arrangements for labour and machinery sharing.
Also based in Norwich, fellow partner Anne Barker will be reviewing the land market in the region. Ms Barker, a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, specialises in the sale and purchase of land, farms and rural property.
Finally, Bury-St-Edmunds-based associate at Brown & Co Guy Plenderleith will be looking at the Basic Payment Scheme, and what is new for the 2016 application process. Mr Plenderleith, who has been with Brown & Co for 23 years, specialises in farm business management consultancy advice, including detailed planning in respect of the basic payment scheme.
“We are delighted to welcome three of the region’s top agricultural property experts to our latest farmers’ evening,” said Lovewell Blake partner Brian Bale. “The three topics they will be talking about are issues which many farmers are currently pondering, so it looks like being a lively and interesting evening.”
The Farmers’ Evening is one of a series of such presentations organised by accountants Lovewell Blake’s agriculture team, in conjunction with Suffolk Coastal NFU. It takes place at Halesworth Golf Club on Wednesday 13th April at 7.30pm, and will include a buffet. Attendance is free; to book a place, call Brian Bale on 01986 873163 or email b.bale@lovewell-blake.co.uk.
