NEW RESTAURANT TO OPEN NEXT WEEK IN NORWICH CITY CENTRE
Norwich’s newest restaurant is set to open next week, offering a modern take on a smokehouse, together with food cooked over real coals.
The E Street Smokehouse, on Exchange Street in the city, is the latest venture from the team behind the city’s longstanding Last Wine Bar and the popular Golden Triangle-based Blue Joanna Bar and Kitchen.
Opening on Thursday 6th July, The E Street Smokehouse will offer a range of smokehouse classics as well as a variety of innovative takes on smoked food, all smoked on the premises in an authentic American hot smoker – as well as dishes cooked over coals on a huge gaucho-style grill which has been custom-made for the new restaurant.
The menu has been devised by Last Wine Bar head chef Iain McCarten, who spent time working at the legendary Firedoor in Sydney – where cooking over coals is what it’s all about.
“We are very excited to be opening our third outlet in the city, combining the relaxed atmosphere of The Last with the cool vibe of Blue Joanna,” said Ecky Limon, partner in the new restaurant.
“We are aiming to have a wide appeal, from shoppers and city workers, through to people spending their evenings in Norwich’s up and coming Lanes quarter. The E Street Smokehouse will be bringing something completely new to the city – and we are a proudly independent and family-owned business.”
The E Street Smokehouse opens on Thursday 6th July at 12pm. Opening hours will be 12pm-3pm and 5pm-late, Tuesday to Saturday. The new restaurant is at 31 Exchange Street; more details at www.estreetsmokehouse.co.uk.
