NORFOLK HOUSE BUILDER LAUNCHES LATEST SITE IN SWAFFHAM
Norfolk house builder Abel Homes has launched its latest site, Cygnet Rise in Swaffham, with the opening of the show home and the release of the first 16 homes for sale.
The 16 two- and three-bedroom houses and bungalows are the first homes to be released on a site which will eventually see 160 new energy-efficient family homes built on the site, off Brandon Road on the southern edge of the town. Forty of the new homes will be provided as affordable homes.
The site will also include a new Tesco Express convenience store, a local centre with a number of small retail units, a 64-bed care home and 40 assisted living homes for older people.
The new homes will all have the top ‘A’ rating for energy efficiency, including features such as photo-voltaic solar panels, underfloor heating, triple glazing and high levels of insulation, and will also feature fibre broadband direct to each home alongside an electric car charging point.
Over 200 people have already registered their interest in the site, which will also include three new public open spaces, two of which will feature play equipment.
Prices for the initial release of 16 homes range from £240,000 for a two-bedroom house with garaging, to £400,000 for a detached three-bedroom chalet-style home with double garaging. Future releases will also include a number of four-bedroom homes.
“We are very excited about Cygnet Rise, because we are not just building new homes here, but creating a whole new community on the southern edge of Swaffham,” said Paul LeGrice, managing director of Abel Homes.
“As a locally-based house builder, we understand that we are not just about bricks and mortar, but building communities for people to live in. That is why we have brought forward plans for this site which includes much-needed accommodation for older people, affordable homes, and retail units to create a real local centre.”
The show home at Cygnet Rise, Swaffham is open from Thursday to Monday, 10am-4pm; viewings are available outside these times by appointment. For more details, visit www.abelhomes.co.uk, or call 01953 8844486.
