NORFOLK ICENI U12s BASKETBALL TEAM ANNOUNCES NEW SPONSOR
A team of young basketball players in Norfolk will be taking to the court with a new name on their kit this season – after signing up a new sponsor.
The Norfolk Iceni Under 12s have teamed up with chartered accountants Lovewell Blake for the new season, with the firm supporting the expenses of running the team, including the new kit.
The team, which plays in the Norfolk Youth Basketball League, is part of the Norfolk Iceni Basketball Club, which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. Founded in 1983 by Doreen McCormick, the club aims to get as many girls and ladies playing the sport in the county as possible.
Ms McCormick said, “This new sponsorship has enabled us to equip the team with a bespoke kit which is much more suitable than the one we had before. It is really important that young players feel they are being supported in their sport, and being able to take to the court in a smart, professional kit is a big part of that.”
Lovewell Blake staff member Louise James, whose daughter plays in the team, said, “We are a firm which just loves to get involved in our local communities. Lots of staff members are involved in coaching and supporting community sports clubs, and the firm sponsors many of them as well.”
