NORFOLK VILLAGE COMMUNITY CRICKET CLUB RECEIVES FINANCIAL BOOST WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW SPONSOR
A Norfolk cricket club which has created a brand new cricket ground entirely through the labour of volunteers has received a cash boost after it was announced that accountants, business advisers and financial planners Lovewell Blake have stepped in to sponsor the club.
Ketteringham Hall Cricket Club was formed in the 1990s, and in the early 2000s a completely new pitch was created out of an overgrown field in the ground of Ketteringham Hall, with the first game on the new pitch taking place in 2006.
Announcing the sponsorship, Lovewell Blake partner Simon Watson said, “This is a real community club which has grown out of a commitment by its members and volunteers to provide a valuable community asset to the area. We are delighted to be supporting the club, which is part of our wider support for the game, which includes being sponsors of the Norfolk Under 17 Girls county cricket team.”
Club member Ben Gibbins, who is also a member of staff at Lovewell Blake, added, “The whole club would like to thank Lovewell Blake for their support of the local community. Our cricket club relies on the hard work and dedication of our members and other volunteers, and this sponsorship will help ensure the longevity of the club and allow us to continue work on improving the quality of the pitch.
“We hope that the continued steps we make as a club will inspire more players in the local area to play club cricket, and encourage local youth players to view Ketteringham Hall as somewhere they would like to develop their skills.”
