NORWICH TRIO TAKE ON BRIGHTON MARATHON CHALLENGE
Three runners from a Norwich-based firm of accountants will be hoping to raise money for charity when they tackle the Brighton marathon at the weekend.
The trio, from accountants, business advisers and financial planners Lovewell Blake, are raising money for the firm’s own local charity fund LB150, which gives grants to community organisations, as well as charities Breast Cancer Care and the ME Association.
Two of the runners will be taking on the full 26 mile course, while the third will be tackling the parallel 10km run.
Marathon veteran and managing partner at the firm Colin Fish will be running his fourth marathon, attempting to beat his previous personal best of 4 hours 26 minutes. He took up running eight years ago so that he could join a Lovewell Blake team taking part in the Norwich half marathon.
Meanwhile colleague Adam Palmer, an accounts assistant at the firm, will be making his marathon debut – with an ambitious target time of between 3 hours 15 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes. Adam took up running last year, and has already completed the Norwich 10K, and half marathons in Peterborough and Manchester.
Secretary Suzie Henseler, who has four marathons under her belt, will this time be taking part in the 10km race which runs alongside the marathon in the Sussex seaside resort.
The Brighton Marathon takes place on Sunday 9th April. Anyone wishing to sponsor the Lovewell Blake runners can do so here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/LBBrightonChallenge.
