PAID YEAR-LONG INTERNSHIP FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND GRADUATES CREATED BY LEADING REGIONAL ACCOUNTANCY FIRM
An East Anglian firm of Chartered Accountants which is recognised as one of the best in the country at nurturing the talents of school and college leavers and graduates is creating a brand-new scheme which will offer a year-round internship for university students and graduates.
Lovewell Blake, which was the only East Anglian-based employer to feature in the Top 20 of the government’s official ‘Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers’ List for 2022, plus a Gold standard Best Employer in the Eastern region, will offer a paid year-long placement for students looking to spend a ‘sandwich’ year working in the profession.
The role will be hands-on, with interns working as part of a team in the firm’s Corporate Services Group and booked to client jobs. They are open to applicants with a local connection to East Anglia, either because they are studying in or originate from the region.
“We are very excited to be expanding our nationally-recognised trainee schemes to include these two new opportunities,” said Ed Bott, talent and employer brand co-ordinator at the firm.
“These placements will be ideal for those wanting to get real experience in the profession, giving them a hands-on opportunity to find out what accountancy is really about – as well as starting to build connections with a leading regional firm.
“The idea is that the internships will be absolutely immersive – this is not about adopting an invisible role in an office backroom, but getting out there and experiencing real client work.”
The first year-long placement will run from September 2024 until July 2025. Further details, including how to apply, can be found at www.lovewell-blake.co.uk/careers/vacancies/audit-internship.
