POLYCHROME LOWESTOFT ‘TRIFLE’ HIGHLIGHT IN KEYS FINE SALE

A polychrome ‘trifle’ inkwell is one of 15 Lowestoft porcelain pieces in Keys Fine Art Auctioneers’ three day Fine Sale on Tuesday 26^th, Wednesday 27^th and Thursday 28^th March.

Dating from around 1780, the piece has Curtis style floral displays and a central cartouche with the inscription ‘A Trifle from LOWESTOFT’, with puce borders.  The piece measures approx. 7cm in diameter.

It has a pre-sale estimate of £3,000-£5,000.
