QUIZ FANS SOUGHT FOR HALESWORTH QUIZ NIGHT RAISING FUNDS FOR TOWN’S FESTIVE LIGHTS
Quiz fans in Halesworth are being invited to take part in a Quiz Night to help raise funds for the town’s Festive lights.
The quiz, organised and sponsored by Lovewell Blake on behalf of Halesworth Event Management, takes place on Friday 11th November (7pm for 7.30pm start) at Chinny’s Sports Bar in Norwich Road. It is the latest in a series of twice-yearly Quiz Nights which have helped raise money to fund Halesworth’s festive lights, and put on the popular switch-on event, which this year takes place on Saturday 26th November.
Teams of up to six people can enter the quiz, with tickets costing £4 per person. Participants are invited to bring their own nibbles. There will be a bar on the night.
“Our Quiz Nights have become renowned,” said Gary Stannard, treasurer of Halesworth Event Management and an accountant at Lovewell Blake. “It’s a fun way of helping to raise funds towards the £10,000 it costs to put on the Festive lights in the town every year. Tickets are always in big demand, so we would urge those wanting to take part to reserve their places early.”
As well as supporting the quiz with sponsorship and promotion, staff from Lovewell Blake devise the quiz and act as quizmasters, in addition to running of the event on the night.
Tickets for the Quiz Night are available from Just Nice Things and Halesworth Book Shop, both situated in The Thoroughfare.
