SPECIAL SNOWDROP WALK AT PRIVATE NORFOLK COUNTRY ESTATE TO RAISE MONEY FOR SIGHT LOSS CHARITY
Snowdrop lovers have a rare chance to enjoy a private Norfolk country estate when it opens up for a special one-day Snowdrop Walk event next month.
Lexham Hall, near Swaffham, is opening its gardens for a special event on Sunday 16th February to help raise money for Vision Norfolk, the county’s sight loss charity (formerly known as the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind).
“The Snowdrop Walk will enable visitors to enjoy the woodland garden at its best, covered in a carpet of snowdrops and aconites,” said Dave Harris of Vision Norfolk. “The garden at Lexham is planted to provide winter interest, with a whole host of early-flowering scented shrubs and bulbs.”
As well as the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery, a team of volunteers from Vision Norfolk will be serving soup, hot drinks and homemade cakes all day. All proceeds from the day will go towards supporting the charity’s work with visually-impaired people across Norfolk.
The Lexham Hall Snowdrop Walk takes place between 11am and 4pm on Sunday 16th February. Entrance is £6 for adults, with children under 16 free.
