TEN LOCAL ESTATE AGENTS ACHIEVE HIGH LEVEL PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

Ten members of staff from Arnolds Keys are celebrating after completing their Propertymark Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Estate Agency, and being admitted as members of the NAEA Propertymark.

The qualification is set to be the benchmark qualification when the estate agency profession is regulated, and Arnolds Keys has undertaken to put all estate agency staff through the training towards the award.

The qualification covers four main areas: Health and Safety, Security and General Law; Law Relating to Residential Property Sales; Practice Relating to Residential Property Sales; and Property Appraisal & Basic Building Construction.

The ten were amongst the first candidates to achieve the qualification, after an evening class course created by the Norwich & District Association of Estate Agents last year.

The ten who have achieved the qualification are:

• Lewis Bird, Sherrie Meredith and Chrissy Plaskett from the firm’s Norwich office
• Katie Mountain and Natasha Baum from the firm’s Holt office
• Simon Dale and Ben Cox from the firm’s North Walsham office
• Sally Smith from the firm’s Wroxham office
• Christina Mallinder from the firm’s Aylsham office
• Holly Bennett from the firm’s Cromer office

Arnolds Keys training partner Jan Hÿtch said, “We have always been at the forefront of pushing for higher standards of training and skills in the profession, including working with City College to develop an industry-first Estate Agency and Customer Service course for 16-19 year olds who are interested in a career in property and estate agency, and which is now being rolled out nationally.

“We very much support the government’s decision last year to legislate to make it mandatory for estate and letting agents to be qualified in order to continue to work in the profession in the future.  We are delighted by the success of these first ten to achieve the NAEA Propertymark technical qualification via the NDAEA course – and look forward to reporting further successes amongst colleagues who are progressing through the training right now.”
