TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW EVENING FOR SWAFFHAM’S ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION
Tickets have gone on sale for an exclusive preview evening for one of Norfolk’s most prestigious art exhibitions, which takes place in Swaffham at the end of October.
The 26th Annual Art Exhibition, part of the Swaffham Visual Arts Festival, takes place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October at the town’s Assembly Rooms.
Art lovers now have the chance to attend the official opening and preview evening on Friday 28th October, where they will have a chance to meet some of the artists who are exhibiting, as well as gain a sneak preview of the exhibition before it opens.
The preview evening will also feature a special auction of a small number of selected works from the exhibition, which will be conducted by Festival Sponsor Keys Auctioneers and Valuers.
Tickets for the event, which are limited, cost £6, including light refreshments. All proceeds from the exhibition are distributed to local charities – the Festival has raised close to £160,000 for good causes since it was established.
“The Festival Exhibition Preview Evening is firmly established as one of the highlight events of Norfolk’s artistic year,” said Festival chairman Stephen Ward.
“Not only will those attending get the first look at the exhibition, they will also have the chance to discuss the works with many of the artists, gaining a real insight into the process of producing the painting s, sculptures, ceramics and jewellery on display.”
