TOP NORFOLK CHEF CREATES FIVE COURSE NEW YEAR’S EVE COLLECTION MENU
One of Norfolk’s top chefs is set to help Norfolk people celebrate the new year by offering a special five-course collection menu on New Year’s Eve.
With new tier 4 restrictions meaning that his restaurant is now closed, Roger Hickman, chef-proprietor of Roger Hickman’s Restaurant in Norwich, is set to return to the kitchen with his staff on Thursday evening to produce a sumptuous New Year’s Eve feast which people can easily serve in their own homes.
Mr Hickman has designed the taster menu to be served at home with minimal effort, and it will come with simple re-heating instructions.
The meals will be prepared for collection on the afternoon of Thursday 31st December.
The menu is as follows:
- Roasted artichoke, pickled celeriac, whipped goat's cheese
- Poached and cured salmon, apple and ginger
- Beef cheek, shallot puree, roasted celeriac with pomme puree and French beans
- Cheese plate
- Dark chocolate, fruit and nut delice
The five course menu costs £55 per head, with a free bottle of Prosecco for orders of four or more people.
“I don’t think many people will be sorry to see the back of 2020, but the coming of a new year is always a cause for optimism, and we wanted to help people celebrate in style,” said Roger Hickman.
“I have designed the menu so that it is very simple to re-heat and serve at home, and I hope that many dads will be able to enjoy their special day with a gastronomic treat.”
The special New Year’s Eve Collection Menu can be ordered via the restaurant’s website at www.rogerhickmansrestaurant.com/NYE. Staff will then phone back to take a card payment, and customers will be given a slot for contactless collection at the restaurant on Upper St Giles’ Street on the afternoon of Thursday 31st December.
