UNIQUE CHEESE AND WINE TASTING EVENING BRINGS TOGETHER TWO LEADING NORFOLK PRODUCERS
Norfolk’s leading vineyard and the county’s top cheesemaker are getting together to stage a unique Cheese and Wine Tasting evening later this week.
Chet Valley Vineyard in Bergh Apton has teamed up with Mrs Temple’s Cheese to put on the event, which will see six of the award-winning vineyard’s wines paired with half a dozen of Mrs Temple’s cheeses.
Winemaker John Hemmant and cheesemaker Catherine Temple will present their respective products during the 2½ hour event, which takes place in the wine hall at Chet Valley Vineyard, with stunning views over the vines.
The evening takes place on Friday 8th December from 6.30pm-9pm; the vineyard’s Skylark bar will remain open until 11pm.
“Catherine Temple’s cheese has a fine reputation both in Norfolk and much further afield, and we are delighted to be welcoming her to Chet Valley for this unique event,” said John Hemmant.
“We will be tasting a whole range of white, rose, red and sparkling wines, each accompanied by one of Mrs Temple’s cheeses. It will be fascinating to see how well they match, and participants will get to vote on the best match at the end of the evening.”
The Cheese and Wine Tasting Evening takes place at Chet Valley Vineyard, Bergh Apton, on Friday 8th December from 6.30pm-9pm. Tickets are £30, and are available to buy online at www.chetvineyard.co.uk/events.
